Jens Voigt & his old Merckx

A reader just sent this in. Beautiful restoration and some cool history behind it. Jens would have been in the KOM jersey in 1998 with this bike racing for GAN! I'd love to own a bike like this one day.

I'm just writing to say how much I enjoy reading your blog. It's always a pleasure to check out your latest story. I'm an aussie guy who has been living in France for 25 years (I'm now 57) and an avid rider. I know how much you admire Jens Voigt so I thought you might like to see this bike I recently rebuilt. It's Jens's bike from the 1998 Tour de France. An Eddy Merckx Titanium.I bought the frame from a former mechanic and have mounted it with Chorus 9sp and Ambrosio Excellence wheels. Although it's not my primary bike, it's still a very sweet ride.
Anyway, keep up the great work on the blog.
